The design of the strut mount has been improved:

• The rubber covers the entire center of both sides of the metal part of the mount, not just the inside as others did. This will prevent the rubber from peeling out as easily.
• The metal itself is slightly thicker so it will not deform as easily.
• The mounting studs are slightly longer so that chassis strengthening plates can be used, and in most cases you will be able to double nut them.
• The entire rubber part has been evaluated:
  • it will hold the parts that fit on either side slightly tighter
  • the durometer of the rubber is slightly firmer so the car will be more stable during normal use
• These modifications have been supervised by a X1/9 expert with many years of experience.
